What did you do in 2011 that you’d never done before?
Was grounded on the first day of the year, spent a week of grade 12 without michael, applied to university, rehearsed a show for an average of 30 hours a week for the whole month of february, got through a whole day on 4 hours of sleep, slept over in a hotel with my significant other, got accepted to every university program i applied to, became an adult, helped host a party, had to call 911 at a party i was hosting, cried my eyes out at the end of my birthday, got my own laptop, celebrated my one year anniversary with my boyfriend, rehearsed for my last dance show ever, performed my last dance show ever, wrote and presented a speech in front of 500 people, cried in front of 500 people, went to mcdonald’s and laser tag at 3 in the morning, performed a final exam with my grade 12 drama class, got offered a 2000 dollar scholarship, rejected a 2000 dollar scholarship, picked queens, had worked the same job for 2 years, went to vancouver for 10 days and loved it, picked my university courses, taught drama camp for a whole moth, spent a ridiculous amount of time packing and organizing, got into the residence i wanted, moved away from home, made friends with people i thought i’d stay friends with forever, frosh week, received my coveralls and decorated them, learned the oil thigh, received my tam, did the frosh week dance, started university classes, worked out at the gym, threw up from drinking, drank for many consecutive weekends in a row, went to house keggers, fell out of friendship with someone i wanted to be really close to, made new amazing friends, got the best job ever, worked at the best job ever, participated in psychological studies, passed everything, got university As, did university exam prep sessions, wrote university exams, boyfriend slept over for more than 7 consecutive nights, got betrayed by someone i cared about, realized their true character, picked housemates for second year, passed my exams, made christmas cards for everyone on my floor, took the via train by myself, became bored of being at home.
Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I actually don’t think I had one last year, but this year mine is to go to the gym more often/at all.
Did anyone close to you give birth?
My old babysitter.

No
What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
I had trouble thinking of something, which is probably a good thing. I would say a fun summer job, and a secure group of friends.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Keeping my relationship together and sane.
What was your biggest failure?
Wanting badly to be friends with someone who was not a good person and thus neglecting to see other potential friends that were around. Spending too much time with Michael.
Did you suffer illness or injury?
A few instances of illness, but no injuries.
What was the best thing you bought?
University tuition
Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Michael, some of my friends from home and all the amazing people I’ve met at Queens.
Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Some of the other people I met at Queens.
Where did most of your money go?
University tuition/living. Clothes and food.
What did you get really, really, realy excited about?
GOING TO SCHOOL!
What song/album will always remind you of 2011?
Bon Iver’s self-titled album. Lungs by Florence and the Machine.
Compared to this time last year, are you: happier or sadder? Thinner or fatter?
Richer or poorer?
Happier, fatter, and poorer although the third is because all my savings went into school.
What do you wish you’d done more of?
Making solid lasting friendships.
What do you wish you’d done less of?
Stressing about scheduling.
How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent Christmas Eve this year at church and then at home with my family. Christmas day I opened presents with my family and michael, then opened presents with Michael’s family, and then went to my aunt and uncles for dinner (and played beer pong with my cousins)
Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
According to my phone I have called Michael 163 times since I got it
Did you fall in love in 2011?
No, but I stayed very much in love and I think that is an accomplishment in itself.
Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
I try not to hate people, but there are definitely people I have more negative feelings towards, or that I hadn’t even met at this time last year.

The Hunger Games

What did you want and get?
Queens Acceptance, getting into the residence I wanted, to stay with Michael
What did you want and not get?
Friendship of a particular person, probably some other things that aren’t coming to mind
What was your favourite film of this year?
Not sure.
What did you do on your birthday and how old were you?
I celebrated turning 18 with Michael and friends at our birthday party in his basement, which was unfortunately cut short when one of our friends got alcohol poisoning and had to be taken away in an ambulance.
What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I found it pretty satisfying.
How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Jeans and cardigans
What kept you sane?
Boyfriend and my double bed at school.
Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Probably Adam Levine
What political issue stirred you the most?
The usual ones

Friends from home, my dog :(

Some of my floormates are awesome :)
